Dry pastel on board 42 x 87 cm, unframed, 2021
Painter, musician, composer, poet, curator. A graduate of the High School of Fine Arts in Zielona Góra and the Faculty of Fine Arts in Toruń. He defended his diploma in the studio of prof. Mieczysław Ziomek. Since 2000, he has been running the "Ratusz" gallery in Gubin. Winner of the first prize in the Polish-German painting competition "Art and Environment" (Gubin-Guben 2017), winner of the main prize in painting "Salon Jesienny" 41st Open Art Review of the Lubuskie Voivodeship - Żary 2017. He works in oil and pastel technique. He creates landscapes, most often riverside ones, maintained in a dreamlike atmosphere. He uses aerial perspective with skill. Fuzzy forms and a color palette in shades of grey, pink and blue give Pawlikowski's landscapes a melancholic character. A large role in the artist's works is played by light, which, although impermanent in nature, Pawlikowski tries to capture on the canvas with an impressionistic flair. The achievements of the artist can be combined with the tradition of realistic and luministic painting.
